He might be one of our brightest and most imaginative minds by Richard

Elon R. Musk is a South African-born Canadian-American business magnate, inventor, investor has made what might just be the boldest move in auto manufacturing history: he’s making all of Tesla Motors patents free to use.

Tesla will not initiate patent lawsuits against anyone who, in good faith, wants to use our technology
— Elon R. Musk

His rocket company SpaceX — short for Space Exploration Technologies Corp recently unveiled a spacecraft designed to fly astronauts to space station last month. SpaceX is one of several private companies vying to develop "space taxis" for NASA to replace the retired space shuttle fleet.

Last year he unveiled plans for Hyperloop high-speed train on a conceptual route that runs from the Los Angeles region to the San Francisco Bay Area, by posting a 57-page “alpha design” plan online that explained how such a train would work, in a PDF document

Again, the drawings are completely free to use for anyone to use.

When the California ‘high speed’ rail was approved, I was quite disappointed, as I know many others were too

send your sputnik to space for $56 million by Richard

SpaceX's Grasshopper rocket prototype made another record-setting vertical takeoff and landing this week from the test pad near McGregor, Texas.

Grasshopper rockets are being developed for use in resupply missions to the ISS and beyond. They'll be reusable instead of burning up in the atmosphere.

The 10-story Vertical Takeoff Vertical Landing vehicle rose to an altitude of 744m (2440 feet) on October 7th, 2013. A single camera hexacopter got closer than any previous flight, delivering the stunning view.

SpaceX is a private company owned by Elon Musk the business magnate, inventor as well as by SpaceX's management and employees.

Just remember, if you don't like to wait for Grasshopper to be commercial, you can always for a cool $56.5 million send a Falcon 9 rocket into space, its SpaceX other star-ship...

No cows were injured during this space rocket test by Richard

SpaceX, one of the private companies that’s keeping alive the dream of space exploration in the wake of NASA refunding, test-launched its Falcon 9 rocket prototype, code-named Grasshopper on Tuesday.

The Falcon 9 rocket prototype flying to a 250m altitude with a 100m lateral maneuver before returning to the center of the pad. The test demonstrated the vehicle's ability to perform more aggressive steering maneuvers than have been attempted in previous flights, as company CEO Elon Musk.

Holy cowNice flight.

A true “rocket science” entrepreneur by Richard

Elon Musk is South African-born American entrepreneur, known for founding SpaceX, and co-founding Tesla Motors and PayPal and other companies that have made him a billionaire.

The future of space travel will depend on our ability to make rockets that can be used more than once, says Musk. SpaceX Dragon has currently docked on to the International Space Station, completing its first official mission in October 2012. Musk says his hope that humans will someday be able to make it to Mars and admitted he’d like to take the journey himself.

Musk is also involved in SolarCity, which provides electricity generated by solar power. The fact that electricity can be produced from renewable sources, most notably solar power makes my next purchase; some solar-panels and a Tesla Motors Model X, next year. It will be my rocket…
