SpaceX, one of the private companies that’s keeping alive the dream of space exploration in the wake of NASA refunding, test-launched its Falcon 9 rocket prototype, code-named Grasshopper on Tuesday.
The Falcon 9 rocket prototype flying to a 250m altitude with a 100m lateral maneuver before returning to the center of the pad. The test demonstrated the vehicle's ability to perform more aggressive steering maneuvers than have been attempted in previous flights, as company CEO Elon Musk.
Holy cow! Nice flight.
