How to take a photo while wearing a straitjacket.

Ever since I was a pre-adolescent I have been fascinated by the Image, which nurtured my deep-seated passion for portraiture—the art of capturing a moment in an individual's life. This process involves narrating stories through images, highlighting the beauty, strength, and vitality of the subjects. My fascination with the zeitgeist's limits in imagery has always been a guiding force in my work. Engaging emotionally with the subject to achieve a moment of peace is crucial before capturing that precise moment with my camera. Is this just a moment in history, or a work of art?

Born in Sweden, I spent my formative years in Stockholm. My father's influence and pursuit of education took me to Switzerland, where I resided for two decades. Later, I moved to Paris and New York to study photography and refine my skills at Studio Click'Clack. This period was enriching, as I had the opportunity to work alongside legendary photographers such as Helmut Newton, François Lamy, and Paolo Roversi. Currently, I split my time between Milan, Cape Town, and Stockholm, traveling extensively.

Over a decade, I have dedicated myself to documenting the recording process and tours with the band Brooklyn Funk Essentials. The members and their families, long-time friends, have been an important factor in capturing their funky photographic essence. During this time, my career has evolved to include specialized projects and photojournalism, drawing inspiration from my extensive travels. My editorial clients span sectors like cycling, travel, and finance, with coverage across regions including Africa, the USA, and Asia. My work has been featured in travel magazines and exhibited at cultural festivals such as Burning Man and AfrikaBurn.

My work has been recognized, earning me finalist positions in prestigious competitions like the Magnum Photography Awards and the Nikon Photo Contest. My recent exhibit was showcased at Bakfickan, part of the Sven Harrys Konstmuseum in Stockholm.

In addition to my photography pursuits, I have taken on the responsibility of managing a project focused on documenting and organizing exhibitions at Burning Man events worldwide. This project covers locations such as the United States, South Africa, Israel, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand, allowing me to engage with diverse cultures and experiences.

Through my photography, I aim to capture not just images but the essence of moments, places, and people, telling their stories with authenticity and empathy. My artistic journey, transitioning from amateur to professional photography, to a photographer. Reflects my continuous exploration of the visual medium and its power to convey emotions and narratives.
