send your sputnik to space for $56 million by Richard

SpaceX's Grasshopper rocket prototype made another record-setting vertical takeoff and landing this week from the test pad near McGregor, Texas.

Grasshopper rockets are being developed for use in resupply missions to the ISS and beyond. They'll be reusable instead of burning up in the atmosphere.

The 10-story Vertical Takeoff Vertical Landing vehicle rose to an altitude of 744m (2440 feet) on October 7th, 2013. A single camera hexacopter got closer than any previous flight, delivering the stunning view.

SpaceX is a private company owned by Elon Musk the business magnate, inventor as well as by SpaceX's management and employees.

Just remember, if you don't like to wait for Grasshopper to be commercial, you can always for a cool $56.5 million send a Falcon 9 rocket into space, its SpaceX other star-ship...
