Taiwan has become the first country in the world to offer free wifi connectivity to its citizens and all its foreign tourists.
A lot of businesses these days also offer free wi-fi, even big chains like Starbucks and McDonalds... But if you can't stand the smell of coffee and BigMac, it's time to turn to a hotspot database like WeFi. They have a huge list of almost 200 million Wi-Fi hotspots around the world.
What about water?
More than 1.2 billion people lack access to clean drinking water. Or like in California where I am today, who has been asked to cut their water consumption by a fifth as the most populous US state grapples with its worst drought for a century.
It's still a bit strange that WIFI should be easier to get than water!
