During my visit to Malawi last December, I met Mike and Christine at the lodge where i stayed!
Mike is a British citizen and a monk who have been trying to adopt Christine for the last 5 years, a six years old handicapped Malawian girl. Mike found her abandoned by her parents in the street 5 years ago, her parents didn't want to have a handicapped child, I guess. Mike and Christine live by simple means and by the support Mike receives.
It appears that the bureaucracy is getting more and more complicated for some reason, and the price for adoptions is increasing in Malawi. But Mike made this his life mission.
Mike has almost nothing or very little, but he share it unconditionally!
Mike promised me at the time, to come back to the lodge were I stayed and to tell me the whole story about him and Christine, but he didn't.
I don’t usually report the horrors of the world, but this time I couldn't resist sharing this story.
