As small computers with wireless capability become cheap, it’s becoming affordable to connect all kind of sensors to the Internet, like in vehicles, dog collars, bicycle locks, water pipes, factory machinery, lights, and any home appliances...
Soon every industrial company will be a software company. Over the next years more smart objects will be connected to the Internet and will transact and negotiate with businesses and people.
We like to connect sensor to anything that is measurable or moves. Some large wireless companies are even preparing machine-only networks, like Cisco.
But have we thought of all the implications, like safety?
