3D printing, 3D sound, 3D TV, we are creating more subtle tools in order to re-create the reality.

3D printing  is a process of making a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. 3D printing is achieved using an additive process, where successive layers of material are laid down in different shapes.

The sky may be the limit for some users, but Nasa are trying to go beyond that. It has been testing rocket engine components that have been created using 3D printers.

Doctors printed a mold for a new facial prosthetic for restaurant manager Eric Moger after his face was destroyed by surgery to remove an aggressive tumor. They also used 3D milling to create the titanium frame that holds it in place

3D-Printed shoes mean you'll never need to buy another pair. Never worry about a broken heel or torn sole again. If your shoes start to fall apart, just print a new pair. Finnish designer Janne Kyttanen debuted a collection of wedge heels created entirely using a 3D printer.

In May of 2013, the world's first gun made with 3D printer technology was successfully fired in the US. Created by "Defense Distributed," a controversial group from Texas that spent a year on the project, it was made on a 3D printer that cost $8,000 from the online auction site eBay

Ivan Sentch, a programmer in Auckland, New Zealand, started printing a replica of a 1961 series II Aston Martin DB4, piece by piece, at his home. He's been working on the project off-and-on since Christmas of last year, and is now finished with around 72% of the body.
