Claude Nobs, who founded the most notorious music festival ever; Montreux Jazz Festival nearly 50 years ago, has died after a ski accident. I know what he did for the music and the musicians. I really hope the Swiss people understand what he did for Switzerland.
I had the pleasure to be at the Montreux Jazz Festival during the 80:s and 90:s. Thanks to Claude I meet other fabulous icons at the Monteux festival like Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock, Tom Scott, Stanley Clarke, Michael Brecker, George Benson, Quincy Jones and many more.
We miss U. Today I will play Smoke on the Water :(
