Christopher Soghoian made an appearance at TED recently to explain the landscape of government surveillance shifting to a new growing industry, monitoring programs. Through private companies, he says, governments are buying technology with the capacity to break into computers, steal documents and monitor activity without detection.

Let's not forget that it's not only the NSA that's watching us.
