President Putin's answered to the recent wave of U.S. and EU sanctions by asking his government to develop countermeasures to Western sanctions. He started already by blocking the fruit and vegetables to the EU market, and he may ban EU airlines in Russian airspace.

What about the Russian gas that represent 30 % of EU’s overall consumption? I guess the Russians will play this card in November - December… So maybe Germany will re-establish its nuclear power plants in order to keep their industry going.
Anyway, EU try to put the Russian Bear in what might be called “economic hibernation”. But the Russian Bear will put Europe into a “freezing hibernation”!
