Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré grow up in a world much different than ours. Her both parents was nature photographers in a very remote location near Windhoek, Namibia, in the 90:s. Her parents named her after the american actress Tippi Hendren. Tippi grew up with five ton elephants, snakes, and cheetahs...
“I do not have any friends here, since I never meet any children, My friends are the animals”
After her parents separated she moved to Paris as a teenager. Apparently this was not the happiest time in her life. Tippi moved back to Namibia ones adult and applied for a Namibian citizenship, where she lives now.
Every time I see these pictures, I become emotional, they are truly unique. Her innocence displays beauty and the real appreciation of a beautiful world we rarely see.
Of course this blog was written in Africa!
