Everything’s is amazing, but nobody is happy / by Richard

Young, smart, educated but alone?

The current generation is called the Millennial Generation or Generation Y. Then we have fresh graduates called "Generation Me".

How do you employ someone with an average of 241 social media ‘friends,’ but having trouble communicating in person?

To find a job after graduation today, is a challenge and a life decision. To employ someone fresh from the schools is also a challenge.

With a youth unemployment levels that is very high we should worry about the long term social and economic effects. Also born with a public debt per capita of $38 500 in Japan, $59 000 in USA and $25 000 in Sweden, youth is in a bad position to take care of themselves and the growing old population, like me.

So how do we solve this in a smart way without crating humans coming out damaged by the experience, not in a way a vacation can cure. It's not about having bags under your eyes. It destroys your ability to think in creative ways about what it means to build something of value.

Communications, is all about the ability to connect peoples to create new ideas. People communicate 110% today, but they do not talk to each others. Talk to each other and you will find something to work with, maybe not the dream-job, but a start. The ability to connect with people in a deeper, more meaningful way whether they are colleagues or strangers will enable us to thrive in beyond the industrial age, get things done and solve complex problems.

Motivation for both parties. Since most governments in the Western world are paying large sums for youth unemployment. Let's make the first 12 months of salaries paid by the state for the first employments.

I believe if you want to employ really smart people, offer them a temporary position rather than a permanent one. Smart people don’t look for a job, they search for business opportunity’s to evolve with! Hiring the right people and helping all employees manage the generation gap will reduce internal conflict as well as enhance employee motivation and productivity.

Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennial and Generation Me; the world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something. Take self-initiative to constantly improve your skills, pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, becoming a perpetual student. Take charge of your own destiny by evaluating where you are today and charting your personal map as to where you want to go.

Seriously we live in a fantastic world! Where you can travel anywhere, connect to anyone on the globe and talk to 97% of the world’s population from the palm of your hand and we have plenty of opportunities. Globalization, it is reality.

If I were 22, I would be out working hard, playing hard and having the time of my life. Hang on, what’s the difference between 22 and 63?!
