Hyperloop / by Richard

California billionaire Elon Musk presented his vision of a futuristic "Hyperloop" transport system this Monday.

The idea of a super-fast mode of transportation, a solar-powered, city-to-city elevated transit system that could take passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 30 minutes, is more than a vision it was a gift. An open-source plan that anyone can build if they have 6 billions and the ability to work around eventual bureaucracy. It’s great that he’s open-sourcing it, but it’s his support, not the idea itself, that gives the Hyperloop credibility.

Read the  57-page pdf describing the project and start the biggest Kickstarter campaign ever. I wonder how efficient this system could be for transportation underwater?
