Technology has done a great job of making it possible for people to work and collaborate from almost anywhere and I do. There's one thing psychology has taught us, it's that buying shiny gadgets is a guaranteed path to fulfillment, so we are all sitting there in the public transport, car or just in front of the TV and “update” us with our shiny gadgets.

Of course, modern life is stressful. There are not enough hours in the day, we're all constantly racing from one thing to another, trying to pack more and more in our well-organized-apps-phones. Today we live the “hard disc generation”, people no longer rely on their memory to recall facts; they rely on their Outlook calendar, Facebook, Wikipedia and Google.

Some of us even sufferers of "gadget paranoia" and it turns out to be widespread in this era of beautifully amazing smartphones, tablets and laptops…

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is challenging in today’s world. I have friends who turn off their smartphones for a couple of hours while they spend time with their family before they go to bed.

So what do you think: does your phone hurt your work-life balance or improved it?
